3PL Engagement and Segmentation Manager

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Manager to lead 3PL engagement and segmentation strategies in Zug, CH, focusing on governance, partner modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position is embedded within the Transformation function to establish and scale 3PL engagement and segmentation capabilities. The role is responsible for constructing the Fit-for-Purpose segmentation model, defining how the company interacts with partners based on their segment, and ensuring structured governance across the global 3PL portfolio through close collaboration with Warehousing Procurement, Operations, and regional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and upkeep the Fit-for-Purpose segmentation model for the global third-party logistics portfolio.
  • Create and maintain a scoring framework that evaluates site criticality, risk, performance, and financial data.
  • Establish engagement models for each partner segment, specifying interaction intensity, frequency, and format.
  • Design account plan templates and governance standards, including Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Two-to-Two meetings.
  • Manage the hypercare process for partners undergoing transition or experiencing performance issues.
  • Collaborate with Warehousing Procurement to align segmentation insights with sourcing decisions and contract renewals.
  • Work with Performance Management to link segmentation efforts to cost gap modeling and KPI tracking.
  • Train regional Deliver teams and Virtual Management Teams on segmentation methodologies and governance protocols.
  • Drive the digitization and automation of the segmentation model, including defining data feed and tooling requirements.
  • Provide reporting and decision support to the Logistics Partner Management Lead and the Transformation PMO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or partner/supplier relationship management.
  • Experience developing partner segmentation, supplier tiering, or relationship management frameworks in multi-site logistics.
  • Familiarity with structured governance cadences (MBRs, QBRs, T2Ts) and performance management disciplines.
  • Ability to thrive in a global, matrix organization with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting account planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting or leading digitization or process automation initiatives is a plus.
