Finastra seeks an Application Manager in Baden, CH, to lead technical projects and support mission-critical banking systems in a hybrid role.

This position sits within the Application Management Team in Baden, Switzerland, focusing on mission-critical banking and payments environments. The role requires a hybrid work model with at least two days per week on-site, serving as a technical lead for both existing and new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring high satisfaction through effective deployment and configuration.
  • Manage multiple internal and external technical projects, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to corporate standards.
  • Coordinate with project and support teams to resolve integration issues and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical defects, collaborating with product teams to implement fixes.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation for procedures and customer onboarding processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to Product Management and Sales departments.
  • Identify potential project risks early and escalate critical issues that could impact success.
  • Deploy and maintain interbank transaction applications on Linux infrastructure.
  • Utilize Ansible for automation and Git for version control to improve system efficiency.
  • Deliver second-level support via Jira, analyzing issues in UAT and Production environments.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance during evenings or weekends and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Monitor platform stability and performance using Zabbix.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Economics, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong background in application integration within Linux/Unix production settings.
  • Experience with real-time processing, ideally in the banking sector or payment traffic.
  • Proven track record contributing to finance-related projects, preferably within banks or financial institutions.
  • Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Ability to communicate in German.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT AGI, SAG, or SASS services.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef.
