The company is seeking a Construction Manager for its Modernization Department in the Zurich region. This position focuses on a significant renovation project located in a historic, listed building in the heart of Zurich, requiring careful management of its unique character and history.
Responsibilities
- Oversee renovation projects from the initial tender stage through to final commissioning, ensuring all safety, timeline, quality, and budget standards are met.
- Act as the primary on-site coordinator and main contact for subcontractors, suppliers, planners, and regulatory authorities.
- Serve as the main liaison for clients, business partners, and building tenants.
- Foster a workplace culture built on open and respectful communication.
Requirements
- A completed apprenticeship as a High-Rise Draftsman, Carpenter, or Mason, combined with advanced training as a Construction Manager, TS Engineer, or equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of hands-on experience managing renovation projects.
- Strong technical construction knowledge and the ability to select appropriate measures.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and comfortable using scheduling software.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on achieving goals.
- Assertive communication style paired with high social intelligence.
- A team player who is ambitious, resilient, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
Nice to have
- Prior experience managing renovation projects for protected or listed heritage objects.
- Advanced proficiency with scheduling software, particularly Elcosoft Powerproject.
