Clinical Data Strategy, Manager

Novartis seeks a Senior Clinical Data Strategy Manager in Basel to lead data planning for clinical programs, ensuring high-quality decision-making and alignment with scientific objectives within the Translational Medicine portfolio.

This position is tasked with implementing robust data strategy planning across clinical programs. The role ensures that data collection remains consistent and supports rapid, informed decision-making. It involves developing and executing Data Strategy Plans for specific indications and trials, aligning data efforts with scientific goals, and facilitating smooth handoffs to clinical trial teams for execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end data strategy activities at both trial and program levels, including creating Data Strategy Plans for early planning and risk assessment.
• Provide subject matter guidance on data visualization and exploration to ensure high-quality outputs that support clinical trial teams and enable data-driven decisions.
• Conduct early data strategy landscaping by analyzing internal and external data sources to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for trial design.
• Advise on the selection, implementation, risk assessment, and oversight of clinical assessments, with a focus on the Neuroscience therapeutic area.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, hospital, or healthcare settings, with a strong background in clinical trial planning, strategy, and data oversight.
• Deep knowledge of COAs/PROs and specific assessments used in Neuroscience trials and patient populations.
• Understanding of drug development processes and relevant regulations.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, work adaptably in a fast-paced environment, and handle ambiguity and changing needs within global, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
