Datacenter Engineer - Cooling/HVAC (f/m/d)

Bhend Elektroplan GmbH in Emmen, CH, seeks a mid-level Datacenter Engineer (f/m/d) to manage HVAC and building-technology systems in data centers. The role requires technical expertise in cooling, ventilation, and facility management, with hybrid work and full-time employment available.

This position focuses on maintaining the reliability and efficiency of HVAC and building-technology systems within data center environments, ensuring uninterrupted operations through proactive monitoring and system optimization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability, stability, and performance of cooling, ventilation, and heat removal systems in data centers
• Organize and oversee external service providers for preventive maintenance, streamlining operations via automation and standardization
• Monitor data center infrastructure proactively, managing incidents, problems, and changes
• Implement and enhance security, compliance, and audit standards, including disaster recovery and emergency preparedness
• Assist customers and suppliers with access control, training, and user registration to uphold information security

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a building-services planner EFZ (heating or ventilation/air-conditioning), refrigeration-system fitter EFZ, or refrigeration-plant builder EFZ
• Proven experience in managing technical infrastructure, facility operations, and customer service
• Solid technical knowledge, curiosity about emerging technologies, and interest in ICT and building systems
• Valid driving licence category B
