DevOps Engineer Java / Spring Boot / Kafka

Responsibilities

• Development and further development of modern fullstack applications with Java and Spring Boot
• Development and integration of event streaming solutions with Apache Kafka
• Implementation and optimization of backend services as well as connection of frontend components
• Ensuring stable, high-performance, and reliable application operation according to DevOps principles
• Automation of deployments and infrastructure with Terraform and support of CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze and continuously optimize existing applications with regard to performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Participate in the continuous improvement of development, testing, and operational processes

Requirements

• Completed training or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in software development with Java and Spring Boot
• Sound knowledge of working with Apache Kafka
• Experience with GitHub, Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, and relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience in setting up and operating applications within a DevOps environment
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban
• Very good German and good English skills in writing and speaking
