Threema seeks a Senior Information Security Officer in Freienbach to formalize security processes and lead the ISMS, reporting to the CTO.
As Threema transitions from a small to a medium-sized organization, this consolidated role is essential for structuring internal security protocols. The Information Security Officer reports directly to the CTO and holds overall responsibility for the company's information security posture.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a comprehensive security strategy for the entire organization.
- Establish and manage an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Draft, implement, and enforce security policies across all departments.
- Perform risk assessments and analyze business impacts to identify vulnerabilities.
- Design and maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Assist with external certification audits and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure adherence to data protection laws.
- Address security questionnaires and meet specific customer security requirements.
- Educate staff on information security best practices and awareness.
- Evaluate and select security tools for Linux, macOS, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Lead or supervise penetration testing and security audit activities.
- Monitor and enhance technical security controls on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with the Operations team to integrate security requirements into workflows.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in information security.
- Fluent proficiency in both written and spoken German and English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of major security frameworks such as ISO 27k, NIST, CIS, or SOC 2.
- Practical experience leading or participating in certification processes.
- Deep understanding of network and application security, including firewalls, SIEM, MDM, and vulnerability scanners.
- Proven track record in conducting penetration tests and security audits.
- A meticulous work style with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Genuine enthusiasm for privacy and information security.
