This internship places the candidate within the Hospital of Lucerne to assist with a clinical evaluation of a fever monitoring device. The project, supported by Innosuisse funding, aims to gather high-quality clinical data. While employed by the hospital, the intern will collaborate closely with greenteg AG to ensure the study's success.
Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit suitable patients for the clinical trial.
- Collect data strictly following the study protocol, which includes securing informed consent, guiding participants, attaching sensors, and performing regular check-ins.
- Manage study data and perform initial quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Organize, maintain, and manage all necessary study equipment.
- Conduct literature reviews focused on fever physiology and methods for measuring core body temperature.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Sciences, Physiology, or a related medical discipline.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence in interacting with patients.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of data protection laws, patient confidentiality, and research ethics.
- Be familiar with physiological research methods and clinical study protocols.
- Show the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks.
- Be fluent in both German and English, in writing and speech.
- Hold a valid Swiss working permit.
- Be available to work on-site at the Hospital of Lucerne in Switzerland.
