Bhend Elektroplan GmbH in Augst, CH, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic (all genders) for full-time onsite work. The role involves maintaining mechanical systems in power plants, including inspections, repairs, and on-call duties, with a focus on energy production and safety.
This position supports the reliable operation of power plants by maintaining mechanical components and systems. The mechanic contributes to energy production through regular maintenance, repairs, and participation in upgrade projects, ensuring plant efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical parts and systems
- Join retrofit and refurbishment efforts within power plants
- Operate and monitor power-plant control systems
- Maintain outdoor areas and machine halls
- Diagnose and fix issues on turbines, valves, piping, and other mechanical equipment
- Participate in on-call duties, approximately 10 weeks per year
Requirements
- Completed basic mechanical training (Swiss EFA, EFZ Mechanic, or equivalent)
- Ability to work safely, independently, and with attention to quality
- Strong organisational and documentation skills, with comfort using digital tools
- Team-oriented and service-focused attitude
- Residence within 30 minutes of Augst
Nice to have
- Several years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Interest in specialising in hydropower
