Manager Production Support PAR NPI/LCM

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Manager Production Support PAR NPI/LCM in Schaffhausen, CH, to lead process engineering teams and drive innovation in parenteral drug manufacturing. The role requires a master’s degree, 6+ years in pharma, and fluency in German and English.

This role supports the launch of new parenteral drug products and the integration of new technologies in aseptic manufacturing. It focuses on compounding operations, driving continuous improvement, cost optimization, and compliance, while leading a small team of process engineers and collaborating in cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of process engineers and experts.
• Support employee growth through goal setting, feedback, and skill development.
• Manage and contribute to projects in New Product Introduction, life cycle management, innovation, and continuous improvement for drug product compounding.
• Represent Operations in cross-functional teams to design processes that meet regulatory standards and operational needs, using lean and fit-for-purpose procedures.
• Assess feasibility for new products and prepare technical transfer documentation.
• Lead quality investigations for process or material deviations, including root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Assist with health authority inspections and internal audits.
• Work closely with production teams and key stakeholders such as QA, MSAT, and Engineering.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, EHS, and SOX regulations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in natural sciences or engineering.
• Minimum 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 4 years in parenteral drug product manufacturing or development.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, such as team or project leadership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across levels.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in launching new products into manufacturing or supporting late-stage development.
• Technical expertise in low-bioburden or aseptic compounding and/or aseptic filling.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive effective decision-making.
• Strong planning skills to align drug product deliverables with manufacturing execution.
• Structured, data-driven problem-solving approach with the ability to handle ambiguity and translate technical information into clear actions.
