Lonza seeks a Senior QA Specialist for Infrastructure and Logistics in Visp, CH. The role ensures compliance and quality oversight for site facilities, utilities, and logistics operations.
The QA Infrastructure and Logistics team delivers essential oversight and support to the Switzerland-VISP site. This position focuses on managing robust cross-functional support for both legacy and new facilities. The specialist ensures that shared utility systems and logistics areas meet Lonza’s internal standards, industry best practices, and national and international regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Quality Assurance support to internal project and operations teams regarding GMP compliance, cold-chain management, supply chain, warehousing, and clean utilities.
- Oversee site and facility quality, with a specific focus on shared utility systems and logistics zones.
- Organize and chair Deviation Review Boards for issues related to utilities and logistics.
- Evaluate and assess Change Requests and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
- Review and approve standard operating procedures for shared utility systems and logistics.
- Assess the GMP impact of alarms and incidents involving utilities and cold-chain systems.
- Participate in operational readiness activities and evaluate associated risks.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections, representing the Quality function at relevant meetings.
- Lead or assist in the local implementation of global Quality policies and standards within the assigned area.
Requirements
- Academic degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Quality Control within pharmaceutical or cGMP-controlled environments.
- Familiarity with Swiss, EU, and US GMP regulations relevant to audits, inspections, and compliance systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
