AI Research Scientist/Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Participate in conceptualization and provide feedback to steer exploratory research.
  • Design, prototype, and validate novel ML models to identify bugs, vulnerabilities, and code smells.
  • Build hands-on prototypes to prove viability and scalability of research concepts.
  • Drive evaluation of new AI-powered features, construct datasets, and implement benchmarks.
  • Build and manage robust data pipelines for code-centric datasets.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI prototypes into products.
  • Articulate and document complex technical concepts and research findings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in AI.
  • Exceptional programming skills in Python.
  • Practical experience with modern AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, and integrating third-party or open-source AI tools.
  • Proven experience in data handling, constructing datasets, and building benchmarks.
  • Experience with modern LLM architectures and techniques.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS).
  • Experience driving research projects from ideation to prototype with autonomy.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Programming skills in Java.
  • Experience with fine-tuning strategies (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA) and advanced prompt engineering.
  • Experience building and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Experience working with vector databases and semantic search.
