Entry-level Analyst role focused on UK Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects, supporting submissions to agencies like NICE and the SMC. Based in Spain with hybrid work options.

This position serves as an entry-level opportunity to build expertise in strategic HTA, with dedicated training to advance into senior positions. The role centers on UK HTA activities, assisting with submissions and interactions with regulatory bodies, while also contributing to broader HEOR project delivery and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Create content and services for UK HTA and HEOR initiatives, such as drafting dossiers, providing early scientific advice, conducting landscape and literature reviews, building and adjusting health economic models, and aiding in submission and pricing negotiations.
  • Participate in multi-country HTA and HEOR assignments as they become available, gaining exposure to various markets and product categories.
  • Expand strategic HTA expertise, particularly regarding UK procedures and standards, by collaborating with internal and client teams and completing company-provided training.
  • Collaborate with internal IQVIA groups, including technical consultants, Market Access, Patient-Centered Solutions, HTA Accelerator Solutions, database researchers, and global local teams.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by preparing conference abstracts and posters, assisting with white paper creation, and mentoring interns on HTA-related thesis topics.
  • Learn about the team's global HTA and HEOR service portfolio to identify and support business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., HTA, health economics, economics, life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, pharmacy) plus at least one year of related experience or internships.
  • Fluency in conversational and business English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to consulting methodologies or techniques.
  • Familiarity with HTA and health economics methods, including UK and European HTA processes, economic modeling, real-world evidence analysis, utility measurement, and costing studies.
  • Experience with research design, methodology, execution, and reporting.
  • Understanding of evidence-based healthcare principles, critical appraisal, and healthcare research evidence interpretation and synthesis.
  • Background in healthcare consulting, the life science industry, or academia.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods used in clinical trials.
  • Quantitative skills, including biostatistics and health economic modeling, along with proficiency in statistical software like STATA and R.
