Responsibilities

Oversee the creation and upkeep of both digital and physical information collections.
Assess, acquire, and refine collections to align with changing user needs and organizational goals.
Manage electronic resource access, including licensing and subscription administration.
Maintain the accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of all information resources.
Create and update high-quality metadata and cataloguing records.
Administer taxonomies, classification structures, and controlled vocabularies.
Enhance information discoverability and retrieval through effective knowledge organization.
Participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
Operate and maintain library and information management platforms.
Work with technology teams and vendors on system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
Monitor system performance and generate operational reports.
Support the implementation of digital information management solutions.
Explore emerging technologies, such as AI-based solutions, to improve information services.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance user experience, and increase operational efficiency.
Lead and support small-scale projects related to systems, metadata, and service improvements.
Drive innovation within information and knowledge management practices.
Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, and data protection regulations.
Assist with procurement activities, contract administration, and vendor management.
Monitor service performance and provide insights through KPIs and reporting.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and best practices.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand evolving information needs.
Develop partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and professional networks.
Promote information services and raise awareness of available resources across the organization.
Requirements
Experience in research, reference, and literature search.
Knowledge of information discovery and search methodologies.
Proficiency in reference management and document delivery.
Skills in metadata creation, cataloguing, and knowledge organization.
Familiarity with taxonomies, classification structures, and controlled vocabularies.
Experience managing information management platforms.
