Michael Page seeks an HR Generalist (M/F/X) for a 50 to 100% role in Lausanne, CH. The position involves supporting payroll, employee lifecycle management, compliance with Swiss and EU regulations, and HR administration in a hybrid, mid-level permanent role.

This HR Generalist role supports core HR operations across multiple entities, focusing on payroll, employee lifecycle administration, and compliance with Swiss labour law and data protection standards. The position ensures accurate HR records, supports policy development, and collaborates with senior HR staff to deliver consistent, high-quality services in a dynamic, part-time working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly payroll for multiple entities, including salary data entry, payment processing, and preparing banking instructions for approval.
  • Support payroll reconciliations, reporting, and verification of employee compensation accuracy.
  • Manage various stages of the employee lifecycle, such as recruitment, onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
  • Handle HR administrative tasks related to payroll, social insurance, income tax, holiday tracking, and absence management.
  • Ensure adherence to Swiss data protection (LPD) and GDPR regulations.
  • Take part in creating, reviewing, and rolling out HR policies, procedures, and internal staff rules.
  • Work alongside the Senior HR Officer to deliver effective HR services to staff and management.
  • Maintain precise HR documentation and ensure alignment with Swiss labour law and internal guidelines.
  • Provide general HR administrative support and help drive improvements in HR processes.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and operational tasks, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Promote clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team, especially in a part-time setup, to maintain service continuity.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of comprehensive HR experience across all functions in a small or medium-sized organisation.
  • Possession of a recognised Swiss HR qualification such as Brevet de Généraliste RH, HR Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of Swiss labour law, social insurance, payroll, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in hands-on HR roles with a focus on operational tasks.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Flexible and responsive to evolving business demands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making sound decisions quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and experience working in multicultural teams.
  • Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and judgment when handling confidential data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Team player with a proactive, reliable, and service-oriented approach.
