HR Specialist (80%)

Robert Walters Switzerland is recruiting for an HR Specialist (80%) in Zurich for an international SaaS firm. The role covers Swiss payroll coordination, employee relations, and generalist HR duties for a team of 20–30 staff.

The company is seeking an HR Specialist to support its Zurich-based team of approximately 20 to 30 employees across Sales, Digital Marketing, and Research. This hands-on generalist position serves as the primary HR contact for staff while managing Swiss payroll administration and daily HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the external payroll provider to coordinate and prepare the monthly Swiss payroll cycle.
• Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll questions.
• Draft employment contracts, amendments, and other necessary HR documentation.
• Provide guidance to managers and staff on Swiss labor regulations and internal HR policies.
• Handle employee relations matters, including sensitive or disciplinary issues.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new hires to offboarding departing staff.
• Keep HR records accurate and ensure adherence to Swiss employment laws.
• Work with the broader People & Culture team on HR initiatives and daily operational tasks.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a broad HR Generalist or Specialist role within Switzerland.
• Proven ability to manage Swiss payroll processes with an external provider.
• Solid understanding of Swiss employment legislation.
• Ability to manage employee relations issues and conduct difficult conversations.
• Fluency in both Swiss German and English.
