HR & Office Operations Specialist

Rivr seeks an HR & Office Operations Specialist in Zürich to support the HR Manager, manage Swiss payroll and work permits, and oversee office relocation and vendor coordination.

This position serves as a key operational partner to the HR Manager at the Zurich location, functioning as the central engine for daily site activities. The role requires balancing integration with Amazon's global HR systems while managing the professional workspace and local administrative needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating employee data from BambooHR to Amazon's global PeopleSoft system, ensuring data accuracy and proper record transfer.
• Create and maintain a secure, well-organized HR knowledge base within Microsoft SharePoint.
• Review monthly Swiss payroll reports for accuracy and manage mandatory time-tracking documentation.
• Process Swiss work permits, issue employment certificates, and handle local administrative correspondence.
• Lead the primary coordination efforts for the upcoming office relocation project.
• Oversee relationships with local office vendors, including catering, facilities management, and maintenance services.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations or as a Senior Coordinator/Specialist.
• Possession of a nationally recognized credential like the HRSE certificate or a Federal Diploma of Higher Education in HR.
• Expert-level skills in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (specifically SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel).
• Solid understanding of Swiss labor law and experience auditing Swiss payroll and social security (AHV/BVG) outputs.
• Full professional fluency in English and German.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating employee data between platforms (e.g., from BambooHR to PeopleSoft or Workday).
• Hands-on experience coordinating an office move.
• High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Experience building user-friendly intranet pages or wikis in SharePoint.
