Novartis seeks an Associate Director to lead medical data, analytics, and AI platform initiatives in Basel. The role focuses on optimizing workflows, CRM integration, and cross-functional collaboration for international medical affairs.
This position serves as a key contributor within the International Medical Affairs team, tasked with designing, implementing, and refining medical platforms and workflows for markets outside the US. The role aims to advance medical excellence by providing efficient tools and streamlined operations, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Responsibilities
- Integrate medical workflows into CRM platforms and promote the adoption of future customer engagement models.
- Collaborate with diverse teams on platform design, requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.
- Create and execute standardized medical workflows to boost operational efficiency and medical excellence.
- Enhance medical engagement processes, content approval, and data capture methods in line with International Medical Excellence standards.
- Work with global and regional Medical Excellence teams to improve user experience, physician engagement, and launch readiness.
- Manage complex cross-functional projects related to platform rollouts and process enhancements.
- Establish project plans, governance structures, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful initiative delivery.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and drive timely execution across teams.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to translate user needs into effective solutions.
- Support change management through training, best practice sharing, and feedback from country organizations.
- Collaborate with Medical DAP and data teams to align platforms with the technology roadmap and identify AI, analytics, and automation opportunities.
- Define and monitor KPIs for platforms and processes, including CRM adoption and user satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences organizations, with a focus on Medical Affairs or Field Excellence.
- Understanding of Medical Affairs operations and field medical workflows.
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills across cross-functional and global teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, change management, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business, or Information Systems).
- Fluent oral and written English required.
Nice to have
- Consulting experience desirable.
- Experience with CRM systems, digital platforms, or technology implementation projects in healthcare is preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Additional country or regional language(s) desirable.
