The company seeks a Senior Quality Excellence Manager to drive operational excellence and LEAN initiatives within the Quality organization at its Visp site. The role focuses on process standardization, batch release programs, and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
This position serves as a Senior Quality Excellence Manager within the Quality Excellence team. The individual will act as a LEAN specialist in a matrix organization, driving operational excellence and supporting the broader Quality organization through standardization and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Standardize and improve processes according to Lonza’s LBMS standards.
- Implement a Lean Batch Release program at the Visp location.
- Create Quality Excellence CoE and PMO structures to standardize, simplify, and digitalize key quality processes.
- Foster a LEAN culture of continuous improvement and ideation within the Quality department.
- Monitor and report Quality performance KPIs for the Visp site, initiating activities to help departments meet targets.
- Support multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure members achieve project goals within timelines.
- Share best practices across the Visp Site and the wider Lonza Pharma network.
Requirements
- Academic degree in a scientific field OR an apprenticeship in a pharmaceutical environment (e.g., Lab Technician, CPT, etc.).
- Profound experience in a GMP regulated environment; preferably within QA/QC.
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma, within a Quality related environment.
- Certified Green Belt or higher is required.
- Fluent German (written and verbal) and good English language skills are required.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different functions.
Nice to have
- PowerBI and/or Minitab knowledge would be an advantage.
