Deputy Team Lead Visual Inspection (m/f/d)

The company seeks a Senior Deputy Team Lead for Visual Inspection in Visp, Switzerland. This onsite role focuses on personnel management, production tasks, and acting as a liaison between management and the manufacturing team.

This position functions as a key link between leadership and the production floor, supporting the management team in establishing both the group and the operational system. The individual will handle daily production duties while overseeing staff development and personnel management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled activities and prioritize tasks as directed by the Team Lead.
• Conduct visual inspection procedures for drug products in strict adherence to cGMP standards.
• Determine task priorities and distribute resources to ensure deadlines are met.
• Report any problems or escalations to the Team Lead or on-call supervisor.
• Take part in deviation investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure full GMP compliance at all times.
• Help identify, analyze, and resolve process deviations.
• Act as a trainer for visual inspection procedures.
• Offer technical and procedural guidance to the manufacturing team.
• Deliver training sessions for visual inspection and assist new hires and colleagues.

Requirements

• A completed education in chemistry or biopharmaceuticals (CPT) or an equivalent qualification.
• A structured, organized, and focused work style with strong motivation and resilience.
• Ability to work independently while remaining flexible.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, solution-oriented thinking, and teamwork.
• Solid understanding of the visual inspection process.
• Skill in coordinating resources and managing workflows.
• Willingness to work in a two-shift rotation model.

Nice to have

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in biotechnology, biology, biochemical engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
