The company is seeking a senior professional to establish and direct a global Project Management Office for real estate capital projects in Zurich. The role involves overseeing large-scale factory construction portfolios and ensuring governance and stakeholder alignment.
This position focuses on building and managing the Project Management Office for the Real Estate division. The professional will serve as the central hub for coordination, aligning regional teams with internal departments and external partners to deliver major capital investments and construction initiatives effectively.
Responsibilities
- Creating and rolling out global governance frameworks and delivery standards specifically for construction and capital projects.
- Building and expanding the PMO team, which includes project controllers, schedulers, and analysts.
- Managing the worldwide portfolio of factory construction projects to ensure proper prioritization and efficient resource use.
- Developing executive dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track portfolio KPIs, schedules, budgets, and risks.
- Offering strategic guidance and support to regional project managers and construction teams.
- Facilitating global portfolio review cycles, steering committees, and reporting forums with senior stakeholders.
- Establishing strong working relationships with internal departments such as Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Operations, as well as external partners.
- Promoting the adoption of advanced project and portfolio management technologies.
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable internal and external regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in project or portfolio management, such as PMP, PgMP, or Prince2.
- Over 15 years of leadership experience in project and portfolio management, with a strong emphasis on construction and capital investment projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing global or multi-regional portfolios of factory or industrial facility buildings.
- Experience in EPC, construction, or real estate development environments.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
