Molecular Partners seeks a Head of Process Development to lead CMC strategy for DARPin therapeutics in Schlieren. This onsite director-level role manages teams, oversees GMP manufacturing, and drives end-to-end process development.
This leadership position sits within the CMC organization to support the advancement of the growing pipeline. The role involves defining and driving end-to-end process development strategies for DARPin therapeutics.
Responsibilities
- Direct internal groups and partner with external CDMOs to create robust, scalable, and compliant manufacturing processes.
- Manage technology transfers and supervise GMP manufacturing activities.
- Support regulatory submissions and ensure high-quality material supply for studies.
- Build and lead high-performing teams within matrix and line management structures.
Requirements
- PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in biologics process development, covering downstream processing and ideally upstream processing.
- Deep expertise in protein purification, process development, and scale-up.
- Proven experience in technology transfer to CDMOs and oversight of GMP manufacturing campaigns.
- Strong experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, including batch record review, deviations and change control.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
