Internal Warehousing Tech Team Lead

Roger Dubuis seeks a Manager to lead its internal warehousing technology team, focusing on SAP logistics integration and process optimization in Meyrin, CH.

The company is looking for a leader to oversee a team responsible for defining and implementing technical solutions that connect internal warehouse operations with ERP systems. This position requires a strong grasp of logistics workflows, SAP capabilities, and modern integration methods to ensure seamless data flow and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of internal and external consultants to achieve project goals.
• Oversee budget management and address all associated financial constraints.
• Identify potential knowledge gaps within the team and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Maintain full transparency with management and promptly highlight any critical issues.
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for linking warehouse activities with ERP LE, optionally including EWM.
• Convert business needs into technical specifications and integration designs, guiding the development process.
• Use deep expertise in SAP logistics modules to optimize processes, configurations, and data flows for internal warehousing.
• Design scalable integration solutions using micro-services, APIs, and other technologies to connect internal systems with third-party logistics (3PL) platforms.
• Apply advanced debugging skills in SAP to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to 3PL integrations.
• Create test cases, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure solution quality before deployment.
• Serve as the main point of contact between business users, IT teams, and partners to facilitate communication and manage expectations.
• Monitor integrated solution performance, collect feedback, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP projects within the logistics sector.
• Proven experience in managing teams in demanding environments.
• Fluent proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Strong debugging capabilities in SAP environments, including ABAP debugging and transaction analysis.
• Practical experience with IDOCs and queues.
• Knowledge of micro-services architecture, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other modern integration patterns.
• Experience integrating SAP systems with external platforms and digital tools.
• Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including warehousing, transportation, and order management.
• Familiarity with EWM outbound, inbound, and other process flows.

Nice to have

• SAP EWM Certification.
• Proficiency in French and/or German.
