Java Tech Lead - Payment Team

Azqoresa seeks a Java Tech Lead for its Payment team in Carouge, CH. The role focuses on Java/Spring Boot development, API security, and release coordination within a hybrid work model.

This position sits within the Payment team at Azqoresa, a subsidiary of Indosuez Wealth Management recognized as the 'Best Core-Banking Platform' in 2024. The role involves leading technical delivery, ensuring code quality, and managing secure API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branching strategies and version control workflows, such as GitFlow.
• Coordinate and own the application release process.
• Resolve merge conflicts and manage code integration.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Maintain delivery traceability, system stability, and high code quality.
• Participate actively in backend and frontend code reviews.
• Review Angular components for quality and standards.
• Enforce coding standards, including clean code, security, and maintainability.
• Promote continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in development and simulation environments.
• Perform root cause analysis using tools like Splunk, Postman, Docker, and Linux.
• Support project teams in resolving blocking technical issues.
• Create and track infrastructure tickets (MODAPS, MODENT, MODCOSE) until resolution.
• Collaborate with network, security, and platform teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure API access mechanisms.
• Work with WSO2 API Manager and Identity Server for API exposure and policy enforcement.
• Manage authentication and authorization flows, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT lifecycle.
• Ensure secure integration patterns, such as token propagation and gateway-based security.
• Participate in defining and enforcing API security best practices.
• Support troubleshooting of authentication and authorization issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.
• English proficiency at B2 level (spoken and written).
• Strong expertise in Java 17 or higher.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot 3 or higher.
• Solid knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, including MVC, Security, and Data.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with API design and best practices.
• Experience with Exception handling and logging strategies.
• Understanding of JVM fundamentals.
• Understanding of Concurrency and multithreading.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• REST APIs and JSON.
• Basic Angular knowledge.
