ECAP in Zurich seeks a mid-level instructor to teach German as a second language (A1-B2) for the City of Zurich, focusing on adult learners with varying paces.

The City of Zurich is expanding its language program, and ECAP is recruiting course instructors to lead these German integration classes. The role involves delivering structured lessons for adults at levels A1 through B2, catering to different learning speeds while managing administrative duties and participating in team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage teaching modules for levels A1 to B2, adapting to slow, medium, and fast-paced learners.
• Design, prepare, and evaluate individual teaching units.
• Introduce current social issues into lessons at the appropriate linguistic level.
• Handle necessary administrative tasks related to course management.
• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma in adult education (SVEB 1) or a certificate as a language course instructor in the integration sector.
• Demonstrate prior teaching experience in German as a second language.
• Show a genuine interest in working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, reliability, and flexibility in the workplace.
