Lead SAP Application Developer

V-ZUG seeks a Lead SAP Application Developer in Zug to drive digital transformation, manage SAP solutions, and lead technical teams in a hybrid role.

This position sits at the heart of V-ZUG’s digital strategy, overseeing the group’s core business applications including SAP and Microsoft platforms. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business needs, ensuring system stability while guiding the evolution of the company’s IT landscape through strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP, ABAP OO, Fiori/UI5, OData services, CDS views, and various enhancement frameworks.
• Lead internal and external development resources, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and manage resource allocation effectively.
• Provide advanced (L2/L3) support for the SAP ecosystem and implement sustainable system modifications.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to shape the SAP roadmap, focusing on clean core principles, technology trends, and integration via SAP BTP and Azure.
• Partner with ICT architecture teams to ensure the system landscape remains robust and future-ready.

Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
• Deep expertise in SAP technologies, specifically ABAP OO, RAP, CDS views, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancement frameworks.
• Strong grasp of SAP architecture, including S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP BTP, along with hands-on experience in integrations (RFC, IDoc, SOAP, OData, APIs).
• Proven technical leadership skills, including the ability to solve complex issues, advise business stakeholders, delegate tasks, and mentor team members.
• Commitment to writing clean, high-quality code and adhering to established best practices.
