Ernst & Young AG seeks an IT Manager for its EY Parthenon Strategy & Execution practice in Geneva. The role focuses on guiding clients through M&A transactions, IT due diligence, and transformation programs.
Serving within the EY Parthenon practice, this position supports clients in realizing their growth targets via corporate strategy, capital allocation, and mergers or acquisitions. The manager collaborates with diverse, international teams to navigate the full transaction lifecycle, covering everything from initial technology assessments to post-deal integration and transformation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee projects that cover the complete transaction journey, from initial IT due diligence and carve-out planning to day-one readiness and exit preparation.
- Direct IT strategy assignments that aim to improve performance and create value.
- Convert high-level business strategies into concrete technology recommendations and practical implementation steps.
- Handle projects from start to finish, overseeing budgets, managing risks, and ensuring successful client delivery.
- Foster strong client relationships and guarantee high satisfaction with all project outputs.
- Participate in business development activities such as preparing pitches, attending client meetings, and drafting proposals.
- Assist in growing the practice and enhancing the team's market presence.
- Guide and support junior team members, aiding their professional growth and participating in recruitment and training efforts.
Requirements
- Relevant background in consulting or industry work involving transactions, mergers and acquisitions, or IT strategy and transformation.
- Strong background in pre-deal Technology Due Diligence, including evaluating IT environments, spotting risks and value drivers, estimating costs for transitions, and delivering client-ready reports quickly.
- Broad IT knowledge spanning infrastructure, applications, databases, and networks, or deep expertise in specific IT areas.
- Solid program and project management skills with familiarity in standards like ITIL or TOGAF.
- Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to turn complex data into clear insights.
- History of delivering projects successfully in corporate settings, including managing teams and vendors.
- Experience establishing effective relationships with senior clients, providing influence, advice, and support to decision-makers.
- Background in supporting sales and business development for professional services in large consulting firms.
- Demonstrated skill in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Bachelor's degree with roughly 10 years of experience, or a Master's/MBA with about 7 years of related experience.
- Degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with German and/or French being advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel for work.
