Manufacturing Specialist

The company is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for its Visp, Switzerland facility to support upstream or downstream processing operations. This mid-level, full-time onsite role requires expertise in bioprocessing and cGMP compliance.

This position is based at the Ibex facility in Visp, Switzerland, where the specialist will execute operational tasks for manufacturing projects within either upstream or downstream processing areas.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing tasks in upstream or downstream processes while adhering to cGMP standards.
• Diagnose equipment issues, analyze test data, and propose corrective actions.
• Assist with safety protocols, environmental monitoring, and cleaning risk evaluations.
• Create and update essential records, including batch documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Examine production paperwork and assist with deviations, change requests, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in capital investment initiatives and equipment commissioning activities.
• Provide training to manufacturing personnel on equipment usage and standard procedures.

Requirements

• Degree or training in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with microbial or mammalian cell cultivation or protein purification techniques.
• Excellent communication abilities and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability to participate in a four-shift rotation schedule.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in German.
• Fundamental knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
