The company seeks a Manufacturing Specialist for its Visp facility, focusing on upstream or downstream processing activities within a cGMP environment. This full-time, onsite role involves operational execution, documentation, and equipment commissioning.
This position is based at the Ibex facility in Visp, where the specialist will manage operational tasks for assigned manufacturing projects. The role focuses on either upstream or downstream processing, ensuring that production activities align with regulatory standards and project goals.
Responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing tasks in upstream or downstream processing while adhering to cGMP guidelines, including batch execution, test result evaluation, issue resolution, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Support the development and implementation of risk assessments for safety, health, environment, and environmental monitoring for assigned products.
- Assist in preparing production documentation, such as electronic batch records and standard operating procedures.
- Review production records, address deviations, manage change requests, and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain GMP standards.
- Contribute to capital investment projects by providing expertise for the setup, commissioning, and qualification of new manufacturing units and equipment.
- Train manufacturing staff on specific equipment and standard operations.
Requirements
- Completed education or training in chemical or biopharmaceutical fields.
- Strong understanding of biotechnological processes, including microbial or mammalian cultivation or protein purification.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to work in a four-shift system.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in German.
- Basic understanding of GMP.
