Oracle Consultant

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Mid-level Oracle Database Consultant in Zürich for a permanent hybrid role. The position involves managing Oracle infrastructure, migrations, and performance optimization for diverse clients.

This permanent role places the consultant as the main technical advisor for clients across multiple sectors. The primary focus is guiding and supporting projects centered on Oracle Database technologies, ensuring systems are robust, efficient, and properly maintained.

Responsibilities

• Set up and deploy new Oracle database infrastructure components.
• Manage bare-metal Oracle appliances, including installation, maintenance, patching, and virtualization setup.
• Execute database migrations between on-premises servers and cloud platforms.
• Apply patches and updates to databases, utilizing Ansible for large-scale operations.
• Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks through optimization techniques.
• Provide administrative support and troubleshooting for Oracle database environments.
• Perform licensing audits to ensure compliance.
• Write and maintain scripts in Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Consultant with Oracle Database.
• Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Tuning and RMAN.
• Experience deploying and configuring high-availability database solutions.
• Fluent German language skills at C1 level.
• Proficient command of English.
