SMB Medical SA seeks a Junior Production Quality Control Operator in Sant'Antonino, TI, CH. The role involves inspecting components, documenting results, and supporting production quality in a medical technology environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct visual and tool-based checks on manufactured parts following established control plans.
Verify component dimensions using calipers, micrometres, and coordinate measuring machines.
Log measurement data into control reports or digital systems.
Oversee production phases to guarantee adherence to quality protocols.
Assist manufacturing personnel in achieving quality targets.
Spot and record any defects or non-conformities arising during manufacturing.
Apply quick fixes and work with production leads to refine workflows.
Help investigate defect origins and roll out quality enhancements.
Draft and update quality records to meet ISO 13485 standards.
Gather and review data to generate quality summaries.
Share inspection findings with other departments and join internal reviews.
Train production staff on quality expectations and procedures.
Requirements
Hold a technical diploma in fields like industrial mechanics, mechanical engineering, or production technology.
Possess prior quality control experience, ideally within medical technology.
Demonstrate solid metrology knowledge and hands-on skill with measurement tools; ISO 13485 familiarity is beneficial.
Understand manufacturing workflows and apply analytical thinking to troubleshoot issues.
Be proficient in MS Office and have experience with ERP or QM systems.
Commit to full-time hours across two shifts.
