Production Team Leader Welding

VAT Vakuumventile AG seeks a Production Team Leader Welding in Haag, CH, to oversee daily welding operations, ensure quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement within the production team.

This position is responsible for the efficient and high-quality execution of welding activities within the manufacturing environment. The role plays a key part in achieving operational excellence, maintaining product standards, and ensuring timely delivery. It also focuses on cultivating a strong safety culture and a mindset dedicated to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily welding tasks to align with production schedules, deadlines, and performance goals.
• Manage the welding staff by assigning duties, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
• Guarantee strict compliance with established welding protocols, quality benchmarks, and technical specifications.
• Enforce workplace safety rules, perform regular inspections, and proactively mitigate potential hazards.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning departments to troubleshoot issues and refine processes.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to boost efficiency and minimize waste.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective measures when needed.
• Build a collaborative team atmosphere that promotes accountability, cooperation, and high performance.

Requirements

• Fluent proficiency in German is required.
• Proven ability in leadership and team management.
