The company seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain and secure critical analytics platforms for Swiss defense and emergency services, focusing on automation, monitoring, and shared infrastructure.
This position plays a key part in safeguarding national security by supporting the Swiss Armed Forces and related emergency organizations. The engineer will ensure these critical groups can perform their duties effectively through reliable and secure technical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the analytics platform, covering hardware, networks, operating systems, and shared services.
- Streamline application delivery and automate installation workflows through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Build, deploy, and manage shared services such as PKI, storage solutions, and authentication systems.
- Deploy monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and alerting systems to maintain system uptime, reliability, and incident response.
- Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to integrate systems, ensuring scalability and security standards are met.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Linux environments, networking, and system administration.
- Possess knowledge of container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes, along with scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Understand infrastructure automation and CI/CD principles, preferably with experience using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Have practical experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Loki.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, paired with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Maintain excellent proficiency in English.
