Michael Page is recruiting a Senior Manager for Strategy, Planning and Global Health Programmes in Geneva. This interim role focuses on coordinating complex initiatives within a global matrix environment.
Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Planning, this position serves as a central hub for driving the coordination and delivery of high-impact projects. The role demands strong strategic thinking and programme management capabilities to navigate a complex, global matrix structure while maintaining high visibility across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and ensure cross-departmental alignment.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, external partners, and country-level stakeholders.
- Design and manage implementation schedules to guarantee timely project execution.
- Manage planning cycles, including performance monitoring and reporting structures.
- Track progress against key objectives, identifying potential risks and defining mitigation strategies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and broader organizational planning activities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Facilitate collaboration across functions within a complex international setting.
- Create and refine guidelines, tools, and processes to enhance programme delivery.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, consistency, and overall impact.
- Promote structured working methods across various teams.
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of professional experience in strategy, programme management, or consulting.
- Demonstrated success in managing intricate, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, structuring, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced degree in economics, international development, business, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work autonomously and remain structured in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience working within international organizations, development sectors, or public institutions.
- Background in management consulting or organizational transformation roles.
- Proficiency in French.
