Senior Software Engineer, Content Asset Management

Cimpress Schweiz GmbH seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Content Asset Management, focusing on C#/.NET Core and React/TypeScript development within a remote-first environment.

This position focuses on the design and development of software solutions for Content Asset Management. The engineer will collaborate closely with Product Managers and fellow engineers to handle technical design, lead project refinement sessions, and ensure successful delivery of features.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend systems using C# and .NET Core, alongside frontend interfaces built with React.js and TypeScript.
• Maintain code quality by conducting reviews, creating automated tests, producing documentation, and enforcing technical standards.
• Support team growth and performance through active mentorship and collaborative problem-solving.
• Operate within an agile framework that values iterative development and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in commercial software development.
• Strong background in object-oriented backend programming, service-oriented architectures, and web-based user interface construction.
• Fluent proficiency in English for communication and documentation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Academic coursework in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and operating systems.
• Prior experience developing backend microservices and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core for backend tasks, as well as React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience deploying and managing software in cloud environments, with AWS knowledge being advantageous.
