Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Manager for Global Portfolio in Zug to lead strategic planning, financial discipline, and portfolio governance for Global Customer Solutions.
This position is responsible for steering the strategic direction and governance of the Global Customer Solutions portfolio. The role ensures that project investments are prioritized effectively, maintaining financial rigor while aligning with broader growth and cost-improvement objectives. The incumbent will collaborate closely with regional teams and global leaders to manage risks, resolve trade-offs, and support high-quality decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and refine portfolio management processes, including stage-gate controls and reporting structures, to guarantee that projects achieve their intended results.
- Manage financial coordination and Cost Improvement Program (CIP) reporting for the region, providing clear impact assessments and trade-off recommendations during financial cycles.
- Identify high-impact opportunities by facilitating conceptualization sessions and utilizing methodologies such as FPX to drive proactive CIP generation.
- Streamline strategic business processes to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate innovation, and support growth initiatives.
- Evaluate program, resource, and financial impacts, identifying interdependencies and risks while leading remediation efforts.
- Deliver cross-functional insights and recommendations to support decision-making and approvals within governance forums and leadership reviews.
- Act as the primary liaison between Global GCS and the MTSC PMO, managing intake, prioritization, and alignment during financial planning cycles.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through onboarding, performance management, and coaching to foster a high-performing culture.
- Monitor the project pipeline and resource capacity, recommending adjustments to ensure delivery remains aligned with strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Over 12 years of professional experience in finance, logistics, supply chain, portfolio management, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and build trusted relationships across commercial, operations, and finance functions.
- Demonstrated decisiveness and risk leadership, with the capacity to make and explain trade-offs under uncertain conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting clearly and concisely to senior executives.
- Strong financial acumen and familiarity with portfolio management, CIP processes, and business strategy development.
- Experience in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
Nice to have
- Experience leading process improvements, developing business cases, and managing organizational change initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process excellence methodologies.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain interdependencies.
- Track record of building and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics tools and Planisware or similar portfolio management software.
