Straumann seeks a Trainee in Global Product Management for a one-year role in Basel. The position supports the Implantology Business Unit by managing product lifecycle tasks, data harmonization, and cross-functional projects.
This temporary, one-year position sits within the Product Management team at Straumann’s headquarters in Basel. The trainee will support global product managers by taking ownership of lifecycle activities, orchestrating portfolio expansions, and facilitating transparent communication across various stakeholders and departments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates product portfolio profitability and assists in decisions regarding product phase-outs and their implementation.
- Coordinates geographic portfolio expansion efforts, including managing e-shop launches in collaboration with specialized teams.
- Updates product documentation to ensure compliance with Medical Device Regulation standards.
- Harmonizes product data within SAP systems and monitors changes to Instructions for Use (IFU) and product labels.
- Leads specific Product Management tasks within cross-functional projects, working closely with assigned Product Managers and other departments.
- Ensures effective and transparent communication between stakeholders by managing information channels and seeking continuous improvement in communication tools.
Requirements
- A degree in life sciences, business administration, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of six months of professional work experience.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in marketing-related topics.
- Background in project management.
- Familiarity with working in international matrix organizations.
- Proficiency in languages other than English.
