Julius Bär seeks an Assistant Relationship Manager in Zürich to support intermediaries and front-office teams with trading, operations, and client service tasks.
This position serves as a critical support pillar for Relationship Managers and the broader Front Office team. The role focuses on handling trading and operational requests from intermediaries and end-clients to guarantee smooth daily operations. By acting as a benchmark for professional client care, the assistant helps build the foundation for successful front-office performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist Relationship Managers and team members with all aspects of client interaction.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries with speed and efficiency.
- Update client records, track instructions and preferences, and generate system reports for managers.
- Provide factual verbal or written data to clients without offering advice or value judgments.
- Execute orders, trades, payments, and other client requests processed outside of electronic channels.
- Encourage the adoption and usage of dedicated electronic channels for intermediaries.
- Monitor maturity lists for deposits, loans, and trades, taking action or seeking instructions as needed.
- Coordinate client meetings, including logistics and the preparation of necessary documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and support investigations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all legal guidelines, internal regulations, and company policies.
- Serve as the first line of defense against risk by identifying concerns, following up on issues, and escalating problems when necessary.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of financial markets, including their structure, function, and the legal and regulatory landscape.
- Demonstrated experience working with financial intermediaries, such as multi-family offices or wealth managers, preferably in private banking or asset management.
- Deep knowledge of products and services relevant to EAM clients, along with valuation principles.
- Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to work independently, accurately, and quickly under pressure.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Proficient skills in MS Office applications.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a private banking or asset management setting.
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the local market.
