Liebherr seeks a Senior Bid & Capture Manager in Nussbaumen to lead end-to-end defense bidding processes, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure compliant and high-quality submissions.
This position operates within the company's expanding defense sector, focusing on the complete lifecycle of bid management. The role is responsible for guiding opportunities from initial qualification through to final submission, ensuring structured and transparent execution within a growing business environment.
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate bid activities by coordinating with internal departments such as engineering, sales, legal, compliance, and finance.
- Prepare high-quality responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for international markets, ensuring all submissions meet compliance and timing standards.
- Plan and drive bid processes with clear organizational discipline, maintaining transparency throughout the lifecycle.
- Assist in capture and win-strategy efforts, including coordination with customers, OEMs, and partners during pre-bid phases.
- Oversee bid schedules, manage risks, and facilitate decision gates and management approvals.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve bid and opportunity management processes.
- Support the structured handover from the bidding phase to contract execution and early program setup.
- Establish scalable structures and working methods to support the evolving defense business.
Requirements
- A university degree in engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in bid management, capture management, project management, or a related function, preferably within defense, aerospace, or complex industrial sectors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to structure complex topics, processes, and stakeholder landscapes.
- Fluency in both German and English.

- Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish or French.
