Business Analyst - Web & Mobile and Crypto

Avaloq seeks a Business Analyst for its Web & Mobile and Crypto team in Bioggio, CH. The role bridges clients and development teams to ensure stable platform operations and continuous product improvement.

This position sits within the Service Operations – Web & Mobile and Crypto Team, where the primary goal is to maintain stable platform operations and drive continuous improvement of software products. The analyst serves as a critical liaison between clients, service teams, and the development organization, contributing to the entire software lifecycle from initial requirements analysis through to post-production support.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee the stable and efficient functioning of Web & Mobile Banking and Crypto solutions, including related third-party applications.
• Gather and consolidate client needs, converting business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Oversee incidents and service requests from start to finish, handling triage, impact analysis, troubleshooting, coordination, and final resolution.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication.
• Assist in the onboarding of new banking services into service delivery and operational support frameworks.
• Participate in testing activities, including functional validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Help deliver product enhancements and new functionalities successfully.
• Maintain clear documentation and promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• High level knowledge of web application infrastructure (DNS, firewall, Web application firewall).
• Knowledge of digital banking, mobile banking or web banking platforms.
• Familiarity with digital onboarding, authentication, identity management, or security solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think conceptually about complex business challenges.
• Competencies in log analysis, using unix terminal or elastic search.
• Excellent communication and client-orientation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning.
• Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have

• Experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or Application Support roles.
• Strong understanding of production environments, monitoring, and incident management processes.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency, digital assets, custody, trading, or blockchain-related solutions.
• Knowledge of payment flows, settlement, cut-off, currencies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation practices.
• Knowledge of web and mobile architectures (APIs, frontend/backend interactions).
• Highly proficient with Jenkins pipelines, Gradle, Artifactory, Python, Groovy, Linux and Bash.
• Experience in one or more high level programming language.
• Knowledge of Ergon Product Suite.
• Knowledge of Avaloq Core ASM and ABR/s with certification.
• Full professional fluency in German.
