Julius Bär seeks a Senior Business Manager (COO CHEEMA) in Zürich to lead strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence across Switzerland, Europe, Emerging Markets, and the Americas.
This position focuses on shaping the future of wealth management by creating value that extends beyond traditional financial services. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, overseeing project portfolios, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational performance and service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support local strategic and tactical projects through effective project management.
- Handle budgeting, controlling, and cost allocation for the COO CHEEMA Tactical IT basket.
- Manage the change budgeting process and maintain the project portfolio roadmap.
- Coordinate meetings and serve as a co-project lead for key initiatives.
- Support global efforts to improve operational efficiency, products, and services.
- Conduct independent analysis on special topics within the COO function.
- Establish COO CHEEMA strategy and monitor the implementation of related measures.
- Assist with strategic management tasks, including cost/revenue management and process optimization.
- Lead cultural and people-related initiatives.
- Prepare quantitative and qualitative analyses to support decision-making and supervisory activities.
- Provide organizational, communication, and reporting support to senior management.
- Deliver internal and external presentations to management teams.
- Act as a sounding board for strategic projects and collaborate closely with senior leaders.
- Coordinate with various departments, including Risk Management, Finance, HR, Communications, and the CEO Office.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent higher education in Business Administration.
- Significant experience in the financial industry or financial consulting.
- Strong organizational, analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
- Proven project management experience.
- Ability to think structurally and independently in complex environments.
- Experience working with diverse functional areas and senior management.
- Excellent presentation abilities.
- Client-centric, result-driven, and highly motivated personality.
- Strong interpersonal and people skills.
- Self-starter capable of multitasking and working both independently and in teams.
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and deliver content directly.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Comfortable operating at both operational and strategic levels.
