Julius Bär seeks a Senior Business Manager Intermediaries in Geneva to bridge central coordination and on-site support for Western Switzerland and the Americas markets.
This position serves as a critical link between central global functions and the Intermediaries market in Western Switzerland and the Americas. The role ensures that global initiatives are executed efficiently while providing responsive support to front-line leaders. By acting as a two-way conduit, the manager drives alignment between internal units and market stakeholders to foster sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Market Head for Intermediaries in Western Switzerland & Americas, offering ad-hoc support to Group Heads and Relationship Managers as needed.
- Organize and coordinate Management Committees, regular business reviews, and strategy sessions.
- Track action items to ensure accountability and follow-through on decisions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Intermediaries segment and central/global functions such as Compliance, IT, Marketing, and Operations.
- Coordinate the implementation of bank-wide projects, initiatives, and regulatory changes at the market level.
- Represent the Intermediaries segment in cross-functional working groups.
- Receive, evaluate, and prepare centrally driven topics for local adaptation and distribution.
- Disseminate approved directives, guidelines, and campaign materials to front-line units.
- Monitor execution progress, identify roadblocks, and report outcomes back to central stakeholders.
- Act as the first point of contact for front-line inputs, feedback, and proposals.
- Consolidate, refine, and forward relevant market-generated content to central bodies for consideration or action.
- Develop presentations, briefing notes, status updates, and decision dossiers for senior management.
- Identify recurring inefficiencies and propose structural improvements.
- Lead or co-manage workstreams.
- Step in to handle key business management tasks when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience within private banking, wealth management, or financial services.
- Demonstrated exposure to both operational support and strategic coordination.
- Solid understanding of Swiss banking practices, regulatory expectations, and front-office workflows.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in synthesizing complex information into clear summaries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree considered advantageous.
- Prior experience in a business management, executive support, or intermediary-facing role strongly preferred.
- Additional fluency in Spanish and/or German is highly beneficial.
