Nestlé seeks a Category Development Specialist in Henniez to drive retail growth through shopper insights and strategic planning. The role requires strong analytical skills and fluency in French and German.

This position focuses on deepening the understanding of shoppers, channels, and categories within the retail sector to support sustainable commercial expansion. The specialist helps shape the commercial strategy, aiming to improve brand visibility and performance across major retail outlets in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Enhance commercial decision-making by improving insights into shopper behavior, channel dynamics, and category trends.
• Create and implement strategies that foster category and brand expansion using data from shoppers, channels, and customers.
• Conduct detailed promotional analyses for primary brands and retailers, converting results into actionable plans with defined success metrics.
• Design in-store communication and activation strategies to boost product visibility and conversion rates in target channels.
• Refine product assortments and distribution networks by spotting untapped opportunities and maintaining consistent follow-up with key accounts.
• Assist the Commercial Development Manager in creating promotional materials and managing communication for national out-of-home campaigns.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical business solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of FMCG market dynamics in Switzerland, including key business functions and priorities.
• Deep expertise in retail channel operations to ensure excellence in execution, scheduling, budgeting, and follow-up.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional proficiency in both French and German.
