IQVIA AG seeks a Director to lead global oncology clinical programs within its Customer-Dedicated Delivery Unit, focusing on strategic execution and stakeholder partnership.
This strategic position sits within the Customer-Dedicated Delivery Unit, where the incumbent will guide complex global oncology initiatives. The role involves partnering with senior sponsor stakeholders to influence development strategy, drive operational excellence, and ensure the successful execution of innovative clinical studies that aim to transform patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Direct the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, intricate global clinical studies and multi-study portfolios.
- Convert client goals into actionable operational strategies and detailed execution plans.
- Provide high-level operational oversight across programs to guarantee quality, financial health, and consistent delivery standards.
- Act as the main senior point of contact for sponsors, fostering trusted partnerships and handling escalations.
- Align and lead global, matrixed teams spanning clinical operations, data management, safety, regulatory affairs, and other functions.
- Anticipate operational and strategic risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead resolution efforts.
- Manage program budgets, resource allocation, forecasting, scope control, and change management processes.
- Participate in proposal development, strategic planning, and bid defense for major multi-service clinical opportunities.
- Champion innovation, process optimization, and best practices to improve delivery efficiency.
- Mentor and develop project leaders and cross-functional team members to enhance their capabilities.
Requirements
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in clinical research, clinical operations, or project leadership within pharma, biotech, or CRO sectors.
- Extensive background in leading large, global Phase I-IV oncology studies and development programs.
- Deep expertise in oncology therapeutics is mandatory.
- Proven track record of managing complex global oncology portfolios and building trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, global, multi-regional clinical studies or portfolios with full operational and financial accountability.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial conduct, ICH-GCP guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing matrixed, cross-functional teams in a global setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT), including CAR-T, gene editing, or other advanced therapies.
- Advanced degree preferred.
