Corporate Strategy Lead

Roche seeks a Senior Corporate Strategy Lead in Basel to drive strategic excellence, align global priorities, and support long-term organizational success through expert market analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

This position sits within the Corporate Strategy unit, contributing to a high-performing team dedicated to maximizing value delivery and setting the company up for long-term success. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy, the role influences overall strategic, financial, and operational performance by building strategic expertise across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current and emerging healthcare market trends to provide thought leadership that informs Corporate Strategy.
• Define and align strategic priorities, leading key initiatives and programs connected to these goals.
• Establish a robust network across various strategy groups and stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and maximize impact.
• Refine the overarching operating model by prioritizing areas for improvement in collaboration with key partners.
• Support different units and functions in developing and implementing their strategies upon request.
• Travel internationally up to 25% of the time as required by ongoing business needs.

Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or business leadership within a large, global organization.
• At least 5 years of specific experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or diagnostics.
• A relevant university degree.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare sector, including systems, trends, market dynamics, competitor landscapes, business models, and new customer segments.
• Strong background in global strategy development, rollout, planning, and methodologies.
• Practical experience in matrix leadership, including structuring large programs and coordinating diverse global teams.
• Systematic thinking, proven problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in agile methodologies within fast-paced environments.
• Advanced stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and collaborating effectively with partners at all levels.
