Senior Delivery Network Lead - External Manufacturing

Roche seeks a Senior Delivery Network Lead to direct global procurement strategies for external manufacturing, managing a large team and ensuring supply continuity for commercial and new product operations.

This senior leadership position sits within the Global Diagnostics Procurement team, a group of roughly 200 professionals dedicated to creating value with suppliers worldwide. The role is responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end direct material delivery strategy for commercial manufacturing. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the incumbent oversees a global team of more than ten direct reports and serves as the primary procurement business partner for the external manufacturing network.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main procurement business partner for the global external manufacturing network.
• Guide Delivery Managers and NPI Project Delivery Managers in converting high-level business strategies into specific procurement actions.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of semi-finished and finished goods to manufacturing sites, supply chains, and new product development initiatives.
• Oversee all direct procurement activities managed by the Procurement Center of Excellence.
• Create and maintain a strong governance framework to support efficient decision-making processes.
• Act as the final escalation point for internal challenges while guaranteeing adherence to quality standards, legal requirements, and audit protocols.
• Provide line management, coaching, and performance oversight for a global team, including budget and succession planning.
• Foster a mindset of continuous improvement and raise the strategic profile of procurement within the network.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Life Sciences.
• At least 15 years of business experience within regulated industries.
• Minimum of 10 years of specialized procurement experience.
• Track record of leading global, cross-functional teams with over 10 direct reports.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Strong skills in change management and process improvement, with experience implementing complex organizational or business process changes.
• Business-level fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
