Product Lead - External Manufacturing

Coopers Group AG seeks a Product Lead for External Manufacturing in Rotkreuz. This contract role focuses on overseeing production processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with IVD regulations.

The company is looking for a professional to represent its Global External Manufacturing interests within business teams and system development projects. The position serves as the central owner for product and production specifications, ensuring that quality, supply, and compliance targets are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned product and production risks, including changes, complaints, and deviations.
• Own product specifications and production process documentation throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Oversee spare part management and maintain production assets and equipment.
• Drive squad performance regarding quality, supply chain, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Create and implement production capacity plans and generate output reports.
• Manage key internal and external stakeholders at the squad level.
• Collaborate with business units to analyze demand forecasts and initiate necessary actions.
• Compile the Annual Product Review Report with input from relevant stakeholders.
• Lead operative product meetings with suppliers and sub-suppliers.
• Execute operative risk management strategies.
• Plan equipment replacements and new investments, including business case calculations.
• Review and understand supplier contract contents.
• Monitor supplier safety stock and client hub inventory levels against set targets.
• Maintain accurate product documentation during the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in IVD product management and production engineering.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to build consensus and manage conflicts.
• Excellent communication abilities in both German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience in IVD product development involving design control, manufacturing, and testing.
• Familiarity with Process Management methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of in-vitro diagnostic regulations, including ISO 13485, IVDR, and FDA 21 CFR part 820.
