Lee Hecht Harrison seeks a Product Lead for External Manufacturing in Zug, responsible for full product lifecycle accountability, squad leadership, and strategic supply planning.
This position holds complete ownership of assigned products throughout their entire lifecycle. The incumbent serves as the primary representative for External Manufacturing within business teams and system development initiatives, ensuring alignment between production capabilities and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain product and production specifications, ensuring they align with overall strategy
- Oversee the management of product issues, risks, deviations, and customer complaints
- Direct product changes and manage spare parts and asset inventory
- Drive squad performance metrics including quality, supply chain, compliance, and cost efficiency
- Define capacity plans and generate output reports
- Serve as the final decision-maker for the squad, including task prioritization
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the squad level
- Convert demand forecasts into actionable supply strategies
- Lead meetings with suppliers and product partners, both internal and external
- Prepare Annual Product Review Reports that detail risks and mitigation strategies
- Own the squad budget (OPEX, CAPEX, development) and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Execute operational risk management and support investment planning
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation across the entire lifecycle
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in IVD product management or production engineering
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including stakeholder management and conflict resolution
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English
Nice to have
- Experience in IVD product development, including design control, manufacturing, and testing
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement frameworks
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, IVDR, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820
