Project Leader External Manufacturing

Coopers Group AG seeks a Senior Project Leader for External Manufacturing in Rotkreuz. This hybrid role focuses on the design and industrialization of consumables, managing product development projects and external manufacturing partnerships.

The company is looking for a professional to lead key initiatives that create business value and improve patient outcomes through the design and industrialization of consumable products. The position aims to foster a collaborative environment where the project team can thrive, grow, and work with clear purpose.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more product development projects from start to finish.
• Define and deliver project outputs, including product requirements and specifications, in coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Plan, control, and monitor the project budget and resource allocation.
• Track project progress against the plan to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of work packages, including those handled by external partners.
• Lead and manage the project team within a matrix organization structure.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Deliver new product designs and establish manufacturing lines at external sites.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and balance scope, timelines, and budget in partnership with Procurement.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Natural Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IVD product development and production engineering.
• Familiarity with Process Management methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of in-vitro diagnostic regulations, including ISO 13485, IVDR, and FDA 21 CFR part 820.
• Proven experience in collaborating with external manufacturing partners.
• Excellent command of the English language.
