The company seeks a DeltaV Automation Engineer (80-100%) in Visp, Switzerland, to maintain and optimize high-automated biologics facilities while ensuring GMP compliance and driving continuous improvements.
This position focuses on the electrical, instrumentation, and control aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing. The engineer will help shape the future of medicine by ensuring the seamless operation of advanced biologics facilities equipped with DeltaV and MES systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute electrical maintenance, changeovers, and improvements within set budgets and schedules.
- Maintain flawless performance of highly automated biologics production sites using DeltaV and MES platforms.
- Oversee GMP-compliant tasks, including testing, documentation, and change management via Kneat and Ubik.
- Update plant documentation in SAP and COMOS to meet strict regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in equipment and maintenance processes to boost efficiency and reliability.
- Work with cross-functional teams to refine internal procedures and optimize workflows.
Requirements
- A university degree, equivalent experience, or vocational education (EFZ, FH, HF, BSc) in Electrical or System Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in operating and maintaining pharmaceutical plants or biotech facilities.
- Proficiency in English and/or German to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
- Knowledge of GMP standards and protocols to ensure compliance in regulated manufacturing.
- A self-reliant and trustworthy work style that ensures successful task and project completion.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with SAP, COMOS, DeltaV, and MES Syncade is highly desirable.
